About
I’m an engineering manager who helps people grow, do their best work, and find meaning in what they do. I lead engineers, and my focus is on working together to deliver great results — on time, within budget, and at a high standard.
I have a solid technical background and care deeply about leadership — not only for getting things done, but for helping people reach their potential. My goal is to build teams where everyone feels supported, motivated, and proud of what we accomplish.
I’m always up for a new challenge or a chance to learn something new. For me, it’s not just about hitting targets — it’s about making work meaningful and creating something great together.
What I write about
This blog is a place to think in public about management, engineering teams, personal growth, and the practical ideas that make work more humane and effective. You’ll find notes on leadership, team culture, decision-making, and the craft of building software with people.
How I think about management
Good management, to me, is less about control and more about clarity, trust, and growth. I believe in transparency, honest conversations, and creating conditions where people can do work they’re proud of. Technical experience matters — it helps you understand your team’s challenges and earn their respect — but the real work is helping people develop and succeed together.
Interests and learning
I’m drawn to questions about how people think, learn, and collaborate. Philosophy, psychology, and literature often inform how I approach leadership. I enjoy understanding systems — whether in code, teams, or the way we plan and reflect — and I’m always looking for better ways to help people grow.
